Staycation, June 2018
In collaboration with Wave Pool, a Cincinnati-based Contemporary Fulfillment Center, Staycation was a social and community outreach effort in Camp Washington throughout the month of June 2018. The goal of Staycation was to interact with residents and business owners and support the strategic plan development of Wave Pool to include a collaborative community vision for the organization.
Wave Pool's gallery was transformed into a staycation destination to set the stage for community conversation and visioning - with an island or poolside feel. Staycation also broke out of the gallery space with a series of community engagements at the neighborhood pool, laundromat, and in neighboring sidewalks to further engage residents for feedback and participation.
This work and my final report was also included in a project by Wave Pool for the 2018 FotoFocus Biennial called Camp Washington Capsule by Eliza Gregory and Gemma-Rose Turnbull. I am honored to be quoted in the project’s final outcome.
Special thanks to Wave Pool and the Camp Washington neighborhood for this collaboration.
